K2 Expedition

Attend the main expedition briefing and complete equipment checks. Finalize permits, documents and personal gear before traveling to Skardu. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

Fly from Islamabad to Skardu, subject to weather conditions. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest. The team begins final preparations for the expedition.

Complete final equipment checks and purchase any required local supplies. Meet the expedition staff, porters and support team. Overnight stay in Skardu.

Drive from Skardu towards Askole through the remote mountain valleys. The road journey follows the Braldu Valley and reaches the starting point of the trek. Overnight stay in Askole.

Begin trekking from Askole towards Korofong. Follow the trail along the Braldu River through rugged mountain terrain. Camp overnight at Korofong.

Continue trekking along the Braldu Valley towards Bardumal. The route passes through remote trails and rocky mountain terrain. Camp overnight at Bardumal.

Trek towards Paiju along the Baltoro approach route. Continue through the mountain valley while gradually preparing for higher altitude. Overnight camp at Paiju.

Take a rest and acclimatization day at Paiju. The expedition team checks equipment and prepares for the glacier section. Overnight camp at Paiju.

Resume trekking towards Khoburtse and enter the Baltoro Glacier region. Continue along the established expedition route. Camp overnight at Khoburtse.

Trek across the Baltoro Glacier towards Urdukas. Continue at a controlled pace to support acclimatization and allow the team to adjust to the increasing altitude.

Continue across the Baltoro Glacier towards Goro II. The route passes through an increasingly high-altitude glacier environment. Camp overnight at Goro II.

Trek towards Concordia, a major point on the K2 route. Reach the area surrounded by some of the Karakoram's major peaks. Overnight camp at Concordia.

Continue from Concordia towards Broad Peak Base Camp. Trek across the glacier and establish the expedition camp in the Broad Peak Base Camp area.

Trek towards K2 Base Camp across the upper Baltoro and Godwin-Austen Glacier area. Reach K2 Base Camp and begin preparations for the climbing phase.

Settle into K2 Base Camp and complete detailed preparation for the climb. The team reviews equipment, climbing plans and weather conditions while beginning the acclimatization process.

Begin climbing rotations between Base Camp and the higher camps according to mountain conditions. The team gradually gains altitude and returns to lower camps for recovery and acclimatization.

Continue rotations towards the higher sections of the K2 route. The climbing team works on acclimatization and route preparation while monitoring weather and physical conditions.

Use suitable weather windows for the summit attempt. The team moves through the established camps toward the summit and returns to Base Camp after completing the climbing phase, subject to conditions.

Complete the main expedition activities at K2 Base Camp. Organize equipment and loads with the support team before beginning the return journey.

Begin the return trek across the Godwin-Austen and Baltoro Glacier areas. Continue towards Concordia and camp overnight.

Continue descending along the Baltoro Glacier towards Urdukas. The lower altitude provides easier conditions as the team progresses towards the lower valleys.

Trek from Urdukas towards Paiju following the return route. Continue through the lower glacier and mountain trails. Overnight camp at Paiju.

Complete the final trekking section towards Askole. Reach the village and prepare for the road journey back to Skardu.

Drive from Askole to Skardu through the mountain valleys. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest after the expedition journey.

Take a rest day in Skardu and complete final arrangements. This day also provides flexibility for delays caused by weather, road conditions or flight schedules.

Fly from Skardu to Islamabad, subject to flight and weather conditions. Transfer to the hotel after arrival and rest overnight.

Keep the day available for recovery, sightseeing or any remaining expedition arrangements. It also provides additional flexibility in case of delays during the expedition.

Transfer to Islamabad International Airport according to the international flight schedule. End of the K2 Expedition and departure from Pakistan.
