K2 Base Camp Trek

Fly from Islamabad to Skardu, subject to weather and flight operations. After arrival, transfer to your hotel and prepare for the trek. The team will complete the final equipment checks and necessary arrangements.

Drive from Skardu toward Askole by 4x4 jeep. The route passes through rugged mountain valleys and remote settlements before reaching Askole, the traditional starting point for the K2 Base Camp trek. Overnight at camp.

Begin trekking from Askole toward Jhula. The trail gradually enters the Baltoro region as you follow the Braldu Valley. Enjoy the changing mountain landscapes before reaching the first major camping point.

Continue trekking toward Paiju through the Braldu Valley. The route becomes more remote as you approach the Baltoro Glacier region. Overnight at Paiju Camp.

Leave Paiju and continue toward Khoburtse. The trail enters the Baltoro Glacier area and the surrounding mountain peaks become increasingly prominent. Overnight at Khoburtse Camp.

Trek from Khoburtse to Urdukas along the Baltoro route. This section provides views of several major Karakoram peaks and offers a gradual approach toward Concordia.

Continue your trek across the Baltoro Glacier toward Goro II. The terrain becomes more rugged and the altitude increases as you move deeper into the Karakoram. Overnight at Goro II Camp.

Trek from Goro II toward Concordia. As you approach Concordia, the surrounding peaks become more impressive, with views toward K2, Broad Peak and the Gasherbrum group. Overnight at Concordia.

Begin the trek toward K2 Base Camp via the Godwin-Austen Glacier. Reach the base camp area at the foot of K2 and spend time taking in the surrounding mountain views. Return toward Concordia for the night, depending on weather and trail conditions.

Begin the return journey along the Baltoro route. Trek back toward Goro I while following the glacier and retracing the route through the central Karakoram.

Continue descending toward Paiju. As you lose altitude, the trekking conditions gradually become easier. Arrive at Paiju Camp and rest after another long day on the trail.

Complete the trek toward Askole and meet the jeep team. Drive back to Skardu and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a well-earned rest after completing the main trekking section.
